The Secret to a Successful Hair Color Appointment
Have you gone to the salon asking for one thing, only to leave with a look that didn't meet your expectations?
Today I'm sharing some helpful tips on how you can have a successful hair color appointment that will leave you feeling confident in describing exactly what you want at your next appointment.
1. Come prepared with realistic inspiration pictures. Your inspiration photos should have a similar natural root color to yours. Be aware of heavily edited hair pictures (you can tell by the perfect makeup, face, lighting, and the volume in their hair is insane). Consider if you like the hair or the model's face more, covering up the face with your thumb can help you focus on just looking at the hair.
2. Explain what you like and don't like about the pictures. This will help us pin point exactly what you're looking for, and what to stay away from.
3. Keep the pictures similar to each other. If all of your pictures are super different, it will be harder to understand what you like/don't like.
4. Have realistic expectations. Know that it may take multiple sessions to get to your end goal.
